Are you looking for ways to become more involved in BWI of Central NJ? Consider becoming a volunteer with our chapter! We have a variety of volunteer positions to fit any interest, experience and time commitment.

We are currently looking for chapter volunteers to help with:

Lending Library Assistant – Handle check ins and check outs during meetings and organize any accompanying paperwork.

Meeting Hospitality – Greet people as they come in and make sure every adult signs in. Answer questions about membership sign-ups. Direct latecomers to relevant VBE groups for carrier instructions.

Big Kid Assistant – Help keep an eye on the VBEs’ bigger kids while they teach during meetings.

Social Committee – Help organize monthly play dates for the chapter, the yearly anniversary celebration and other social events.

International Babywearing Week Committee – Help plan events for International Babywearing Week, held each October.

Fundraising Committee – Help plan and coordinate fundraisers for the chapter.

To volunteer, contact a VBE or email us at centralnj@babywearinginternational.org.

Want to take on a bigger role in the chapter? Consider becoming a Volunteer Babywearing Educator. We’re always looking for passionate, dedicated babywearers to help teach at meetings. VBEs are required to pass the BWI accreditation assessment and must be available to regularly attend meetings and help with other tasks related to running the chapter. For more information, contact one of the current VBEs.
